Ulide Impilatore manualeThe Compact Solution for Vertical Handling

A manual stacker is an essential, non-powered material handling device designed to lift, lower, and transport palletized or unit loads vertically for stacking and short-distance movement. It serves as a critical bridge between a simple pallet truck (which only lifts for transport) and a large forklift, offering a cost-effective solution for low-to-medium frequency lifting tasks in confined spaces.

Core Function and Operation

The manual stacker operates primarily through a manual hydraulic pump system. To use it, the operator guides the forks into a standard pallet. By either repeatedly pumping a handle or, in some models, turning a crank, hydraulic pressure is generated to raise the forks and load. This lifting mechanism allows the load to be elevated significantly higher than a standard pallet jack—typically from 1.6 meters up to 3 meters or more—enabling stacking onto racks or other pallets. Lowering is smoothly controlled by a release valve. Most models are equipped with wheels, allowing the operator to manually push or pull the loaded stacker to its destination.

Key Types and Features

There are two main configurations:

1.  Manual Hydraulic Stacker: The most common type, using a hand-pump lever for lifting. It is robust and straightforward.

2.  Hand Crank (Screw) Stacker: Uses a manual crank to mechanically raise the forks via a lifting screw. It requires more effort but offers precise positioning and does not rely on hydraulics.

Primary Applications

The manual stacker is indispensable in environments where lifting efficiency is needed but investment in powered equipment is not justified. Typical applications include:

Warehouse Storage: Stacking and retrieving pallets in small to medium-sized storage areas.

Loading Docks & Retail Backrooms: Handling goods for stocking and order fulfillment.

Workshops & Small Factories: Moving raw materials, finished products, or equipment.

Any location with limited space and sporadic lifting needs.

In summary, the manual stacker is a versatile and economical workhorse. It empowers a single operator to perform essential stacking tasks safely and efficiently, making it a fundamental tool for optimizing vertical space and workflow in countless industrial and commercial settings.
