When lifting begins, the connection should feel stable and secure. If the lifter easily shifts or feels weak, it may not provide enough magnetic force for safe operation.
Another important step is the rated load test. I normally start with a lighter load and gradually increase the weight toward the rated capacity. During the lifting process, the lifter should hold the load steadily without vibration or movement. A reliable magnetic lifter maintains a strong grip throughout the entire lifting operation.
I also pay attention to the release function. After lowering the load, the handle should rotate smoothly to release the magnet. A well-designed lifter allows the load to separate cleanly from the magnet without sticking or requiring excessive force. Smooth release is just as important as strong lifting.
Finally, I always check the product markings and documentation. A qualified magnetic lifter should clearly display its rated capacity, safety factor, and manufacturer information. Proper labeling and instructions are signs that the product has gone through professional quality control.
In lifting work, safety is never something to guess about. Taking a few minutes to test a magnetic lifter before using it can prevent accidents and protect both workers and materials.
